Ravinder-Nath Tagore

Gurudev Ravindernath Tagore is supposed to be the first artist of Modern art India. When he went to Europe he was very much impressed by Paul Klee and Picasso were done without any pre thinking of exercise.

The great poet R.N. Tagore was born on 2nd may 1861 in Jorasanko village of Calcutta paintings came quite later in his life and he became the world poet long before.
His paintings are child like or it can be said his paintings resemble with those of children so thee is no traditional or prejudice effect in his art whatever the shape came I the line drawing Gurudev tried to make some paintings out it with color. He desire pleasure in doing such original painting so he created some compositions by any form of lines, adding color to them in the effort to doing some rhythm or flow. These paintings had no relation with the principles etc.
