HANUMAN

hnauman

Lord Hanuman is a famous diety who is worshipped in India, mostly in villages and in the south India .His role is found in Ramayana in where he is the follower f Lord Rama. His search for the Maa Sita , captured by Ravana, show his unusual power and zealous performance of the tasks taht ere give to him.He went off with his monkey follwers to search the southern quarter of the world.
At first they were unsuccessful but eventually heard that she was captive in Lanka(perhaps Sri Lanka). He crossed the channel between India and Lanka and magically changing his size many times, entered the golden city in which devi sita was imprisoned. After avoiding many soldiers and making a number of fruitless attempts at finding her , he discovered that she was confined in a nearby forest.

Before releasing her Lord Hanuman attempted to punish Ravana.Hanuman was capturedand his tail set on fire, but by his power,he escaped and used his tail to burn Lanka.
He returned to Rama without Sita and helped him in many miraculous ways to defeat Lanka.Twice he flew to Himalaya to collect herbs
