Main Characterstics of Mugal paintings of Akbar region

1. Unrestrained paintings: - The Paintings on Indian and Persian stories on literature and Akbar’s life were original and rudimentary.
2. Bright colors: - Bright colors like enamel according to Abul Faizal, different types of color were prepared mostly 3 types:- (1) Slaked, (2) Bright, (3) White color. Among the bright coor Pyodi, Vermillian, Red, Blood red and green. Slake color Geru, Hirorji, Chalk, Lamblack, Blue and Haradhabba. White color made of lime.
3. Indianization: - Inspite of its being effected by Persian and Rajastahni style ex. Razma-Nama and Akbar-Nama.
4. Profile painting: - Mostly faces were in profile which was garnered style of Mugal school. The engraving and the use of border taken from Persian style.
5. Manuscript: - Mostly painted.
6. Crowded painting: - Crowded painting where several faces, figures, animals and birds were painted.
7. Nature study: - Hunting scenes, hills, trees etc were depicted beautifully lines mostly been used while painting mountains colored lines to show the concavity and convexity of cantour with no use of color patches
8. Beautiful calligraphy: - Beautiful calligraphy used writes the heme in a special strip like shape in the middle or the side of painting by experts.
9. Border or Hashiyas: - Borders were beautiful human figures, Birds and Flowers and animals used.
10. Combine effort: - Four painters used to complete one painting together. One drew lines; seemed painted color third drew borders and fourth wrote Calligraphic scripts.
11. Depiction of Sufi Saints:- Depiction of Sufi’s and saints in huts or jungle.
12. Festivals and fairs: - Festivals and fairs in Akbar’s time were painted very beautifully.
13. Gold and Silver color: - Gold and Silver colors from crown to feel delicately had done.
14. Hindu painters expert in human figure expressions of emotion.
