PAUL CEZANNE
Paul cezzane known as the father of modern painting influenced all subsequent movement. He was a figure who struggled throughout of his life to express in paint his ideas about the nature of art, ideas which at the same time, in their very indusiveness, were among the most revolutionary in the history of art. He went to Paris to study art and found a new art frame without giving up the values of old, like many famous artist he was largely self fought.
THE FAMOUS PAINTINGS OF CEZZANE
1.Still life with basket of apples (1890):- The fascination of all still life for cezzane, as for generation of painters before him and after, obviously lies in the fact that it involves a subject, limited and controllable as no landscape of portrait sitter can be possible. After he hed carefully arranged, his tilled basket and apples and wine bottles. Scattered the other casually over the mountain peaks of the table cloth and placed the plate of petil-paint at the back of the table. The apple obsessed cezzane as the 3-dial from most difficult to control as a separate object. To attain this goal, he modulate the circular forms with small, flats brush strokes, distorted the shapes and loosened or broke th contours to set up spatial tension among the object and there by unifying them as color areas. By tilting the wine bottle out of the vertical flatten and distorting. The perspective of the plate or changing the direction of the table edge as it moved under the cloth he was able which maintaining the illusion of real appearance to remote the still life’s from its original environment into the new environment of pictorial form.
